Picnic's Over
The family has gone to see the ducks and left the picnic leftovers on the blanket. Someone has to mind the food. Ants march in from the grass, and you have a minute and a half to flick them off before the family gets back.
Made for Ctrl+AI+Jam Week 01: theme LEFTOVERS, limitation ONE ROOM.
HOW TO PLAY
- Press an ant, pull back and let go. It flies away from the cursor and knocks over any ant it hits. Knock three more in one flick for a STRIKE!
- Flick a carrier and its crumb flies back to the food. A bite is only lost when an ant gets it home, or when the dog eats it. Carriers wear a cyan ring, which turns pink and flashes when they're nearly home.
- Drag from an empty spot to swipe the napkin through a line. It recharges after each swipe.
- Right-click a leftover to drop a cloche over it for 5 seconds.
- Every few seconds the picnic's die rolls across the blanket. Its face picks the next wave: scouts, workers, a long line, beetles that take two flicks, or flying ants. A scent trail shows where they'll walk.
- Don't flick ants into Biscuit, the dog asleep in the corner. Three bumps wake Biscuit up, and the leftovers lose three bites.
- The family's favourite leftover wears a heart. Its bites count three times.
- When the family gets back, the share of the picnic you saved sets your stars. Win a round and the next one sends bigger waves.
Esc or P pauses (the game also pauses if you click away). R restarts the round. M turns the sound off and on. G turns the glow off on slower computers.
SCORES on the title keeps your ten best rounds in this browser.
